WITHIN is a collaborative project developed by musician and sound artist Tarek Atoui, investigating how deafness can influence the way we understand sound performance, its space and instrumentation. For Bergen Assembly, nine new instruments that expand notions of listening beyond the aural fill the abandoned pools of Sentralbadet, and will be activated by different composers and performers during September 2016.
For the final performances of the WITHIN programme, Tarek Atoui is joined by André Bratten, and guests for a truly unmissable night of electronic music. Celebrate the finale of this ambitious project and witness Sentralbadet shake to the sound of these very special instruments.
