FIRES NEED AUDIENCES (Ariel Schlesinger)
Presentation of Ariel Schlesinger’s artistic contribution to the Museum of Burning Questions at freethought’s Infrastructure project for Bergen Assembly 2016
Nora Sternfeld (freethought)

Ariel Schlesinger presents bags printed with the slogan “fires need audiences”. Open to interpretation, the phrase refers, in part, to Schlesinger’s obsession with fire and an urge to share this fascination with others. Having grown up in Israel, Schlesinger is concerned with how violence starts and what drives the cycle of disturbance. From The Museum of Burning Questions the bags can disperse into the streets of Bergen.

DANCING IN THE STREETS (Kabir Carter)
